took a drive up to astoria last wkend with the kid. she slept the whole way up and the whole way back. she demanded to be carried up the column, and insisted the walk down. it was a great time.
photos, thoughts, and whatever else.
— mostly Tammy's. a couple Lizzy's. one Louis's (badly).
So silkcities stopped serving the original image files about a year ago. they show you the lossy 300px-tall thumbnail and that's it. The originals weren't big by today's standards, but they were at least 600px on the long edge. You could see the grain structure.
I can't seem to figure out the source url. You used to be able to find them via dev tools, but now it just gives you the cdn/thumbnail path. My suspicion is that they didn't migrate the originals to a new system when SC started using the flatter UI styles. I think they're actually just gone:/
That's why i'm telling you this on his page instead of in a comment. if you want to know what's left of any of this, come look at my page. i kept what i could.

pulled over on the way home from the studio. couldn't help it.
Lou came over this weekend wanting another round of headshots. he said the originals (from a few months ago) "feel outdated." i tried to argue.
he picked C. obviously.
borrowed my neighbor's wide-angle lens for a hike up to colchuck lake this weekend. spent more time on the ground than upright. worth it.
If I kept the lens do you think he's miss it?
Aquarium with my little munchkin today. she pressed her face to the glass for 5 straight minutes. i managed to get bored before she did.
I vacuumed up an XLR cable today and I didn't even realize until lizzy started yelling. cost the studio $100 and me my dignity. (At least the vaccuum was fine...)
Tammy said we should frame the chewed up bit and put it in the green room. I don't think Lizzy would have it XD

Lizzy's cat actually sat for me for like 90 seconds. She's getting prints whether she wants them or not.
Yesterday I ran into a grip from a Tacoma cable access show at starbies. I didn't want to leave the gear in the car so I was waiting in line with the honking "A-Cam" pelican case. Guy asked what i shoot for, turns out he's got a few episodes of re>play on tape! He doesn't use silkcities unfortunately and he wouldn't accept my offering edwin's HTML services to make him one.
he said his crew watches our cold opens every week and has stolen from them shamelessly. I think I should be embarassed but I sat there grinning for 10 minutes after he left.
I told lizzy when i got back. She pretended not to care but she totally cares.
Headshot session for Louis this weekend, tried 6 different setups. He liked exactly one and now he wants it on every flyer and the website and probably his business cards. I'm not responsible for any of this.
He commented on this post like an hour after I posted it.
YO this came out unreal. Check out my banner!!. you're getting a writing credit for the show even though you didn't write anything, that's how good these are.
Kid raided the pantry for the first time this morning. I was reaching for the camera before i even thought about stopping her. Ill spare you 899 photos, this is the best 1.
My kid is going to be funnier than me by 6, I can already tell.
i'm choosing one of those overnight prints for the green room. don't argue with me. (you're going to argue with me.)
u owe me coffee, it's been weeks. u thought I forgot, huh?!?1
