Steps to Reduce Your Risk of Contracting COVID-19

Wash Hands

One of the most powerful tools that can be used to combat the coronavirus is handwashing. They should be washed very frequently, especially after touching an item or surface that may be questionable. Handwashing effectively incapacitates the coronavirus by breaking the lipid envelope apart and simultaneously expelling the virus down the drain. To maximize the effectiveness of this procedure, hands should be thoroughly lathered with soap and rubbed together vigorously for at least 20 seconds. If there is a need to go to a place without soap or running water, then a hand sanitizer can be used as a substitute as long as it contains at least 60% ethanol or 70% isopropanol.
