I kind of love my job

I got a job at Apollo Energy about a month ago (I know, me and everyone else right?) and I was assigned to cable management. You know those big underground tunnels no one’s allowed in? They’re full of these big cables and wires that send power everywhere in the city. I’m not an electrician or anything, I just tidy up all the stuff that the night crew installs. The pay is okay, and I find it kind of relaxing honestly. I don’t get a lot of time to myself, so work time’s the only time I can think straight. Although it would be nice if my supervisors would give me a little more feedback, I’ve only been here about a month but I haven’t seen a manager since I got training my first week. Idk, I feel like I'm rambling but I don't have much else going in my life right now.

That's great! It's always nice to enjoy your work :) I got assigned to one of the new substations, and it's a very relaxed working environment

Thanks! I guess it's not so much that I enjoy the work itself, but I like the solitude. The city's pretty crowded these days!

Doesn't it get creepy by yourself in there? I hear homeless people sneak in there sometimes to sleep, does anything like that worry you?

I guess it can get a little creepy, mostly I'm pretty focused on my work though. I haven't seen anyone else down here yet, but sometime when I take a break I get this weird feeling like someone else is down there haha
