Road Trip to Rapid City

My Grandparents decided to take my sisters and I on a road trip to explore the country side when I was 11 years old. The purpose of the trip was to visit different colleges along the way while seeing my Grandma's cousins in South Dakota.
Yakima WA

Yakima has a reputation for being one of the world's leading producers of apples. The economy has always been apart of agriculture that has been produced by the local County farmers. These crops include apples, cherries, pears, grapes along with vegetables, seeds and cereal grains.
Yellow Stone WY

On the way back home we decided to take a small detour at Yellowstone. The park was breathtaking as we saw Old Faithful shoot water up to 184 feet in the air! A bison walked 5 ft away from our car as well. I was terrified at the time, but will never forget that moment.
Lemmon SD
The Petrified Wood park in Lemmon.
The small town of Lemmon was memorable because of the petrified wood museum that was outside. I have never seen this kind of wood in my life before.

After visiting with my cousins, my Grandparents and I decided to go see Mount Rushmore. This was just a few miles out of Rapid City and is truly remarkable to witness this man made creation in person.
