12 oz. bag of Stumptown coffee beans, coarsely ground | Sealed brewing jar | Storage pitcher | Extra pitcher | Cheese cloth | Fine mesh colander | 9 cups of water
1. Pour the ground coffee into the brewing jar.
2. Add the water to the brewing jar and tighten the lid.
3. Turn the jar from one end to the other, gently mixing the contents.
4. Let the water and coffee sit for 5 minutes before gently shaking again.
5. Place the brewing jar on the counter and let sit for 20 hours.
6. Once the coffee concentrate is finished brewing, prepare remaining supplies.
7. Using the mesh colander, drain the concentrate into the extra pitcher. Compost or dispose of the grounds.
8. Place the cheese cloth over the mouth of the storage pitcher.
9. Carefully, drain the concentrate through the cheese cloth into the storage pitcher.
10. To serve, pour one part concentrate to three parts water.
