Mount Everest

A Dangerous Climb

Mount Everest, the highest mountain in the world at 29,035 feet, attracts many climbers from around the world. Though many succeed in reaching the summit, the descent down poses many challenges from the lack of oxygen, extreme temperatures, and unpredictable weather. More than 200 deaths have been recorded since the first climb in 1921.
